The centre was transferred to Shinyalu Market from Kakamega Forest (KEEP) on 4/11/2009. This was as a result of availability of electricity power supply at Shinyalu unlike in Kakamega Rainforest which mainly depended on Solar energy to power computers and other electronic related devices.
Free Computer training program has attracted so many locals in the area and the place is now becoming full of computer literate persons and gurus. Please find time to look at the pictures of the Centre.

- The Kakamega CKC is located in Western province, Kenya at a distance of 18km from Kakamega town and approximately 418km from Nairobi. The centre was established by Arid Lands Information Network (ALIN) in the year 2007.
